Earth Day: a global event for the environment

Earth Day is a global event that aims to raise awareness of the urgent need to take action for the environment, but also to encourage people to take action in their daily lives to care for the planet.

Today, let us celebrate Earth Day together. Created 51 years ago, this day is more relevant than ever to raise awareness, inspire and encourage change.

At Gérard Bertrand, preserving the environment is at the very heart of the company's project. Twenty years ago, we began to modify our growing and production practices, enabling us to produce high quality wine from organic and biodynamic vines.

Thanks to these deep convictions, we have acquired a benchmark know-how in the production of premium wines that respect nature. Today, we share these skills, acting as a model, with the aim of encouraging and driving forward an entire ecosystem, from winemakers to lovers of fine wines.

AB: Orange Gold

Made using an ancient winemaking method, Orange Gold is unlike any other. As floral and fresh as a white wine, yet tannic, this original wine delivers complex and flavourful tastes.

Vegan : Source of Joy

Through the myth of the Fountain of Youth that it evokes, Source of Joy is an invitation to return to nature. This rosé wine, full and round in the mouth, is perfectly balanced by its freshness.

Bee friendly: Gold & Red Azure 2019

This wine is made from vines that are managed in perfect harmony with pollinating insects, such as bees. The 2019 red Gold & Azure delivers a deep nose of black fruits and spices with silky, fine tannins.

Without Sulfites : Prima Nature Chardonnay 2020

Labelled with no added sulphites, this white wine has received all the expertise of Gérard Bertrand and his team in the conception of a quality wine without the use of added sulphites. This cuvée offers a beautiful harmony, pure and greedy aromas affirming the character of the fruit and its terroir.

Demeter: Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Red 2018

This biodynamic wine, voted best red wine in the world for its 2017 vintage, is the result of working the vines with the deepest respect for the environment. The soils, alive and fertile, provide the grapes with an extraordinary concentration of nutrients and minerals. The 2018 vintage is just as exceptional and brilliantly affirms the unique terroir of the la Clape massif.
