Muscat de Rivesaltes 2021 X6

The Rivesaltes appellation inherited its name from the town of Rivesaltes, which means "High Banks" in Catalan. Crossed by 3 rivers - the Agly, the Têt and the Tech - which have shaped a relief of terraces and hills, the Rivesaltes vineyard covers extremely different soils.
The vineyard is made up of numerous small terraced plots located on the slopes of the natural geological cirque in which the village of Tautavel is located, steeped in history.

The grapes are harvested when ripe and then pressed directly when they are arrival at the cellar. Cold settling and a 48-hour rest of the must are carried out, then the alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature in thermoregulated stainless steel tank. The particularity of this wine is the "mutage" (addition of alcohol to the must), which stops the fermentation process. This produces a wine whose sweetness is natural; it comes from sugars, from grapes, which have not completely fermented. The wine is bottled in spring.

The color is golden yellow, the nose reveals notes of candied fruits. On the palate, this vintage reveals aromas orange jam and currants, it is balanced, has a fruity attack which evolves over a long finish marked by muscat notes.

Keep away from sunlight and at a constant temperature

Ideal at 10°C, as an aperitif with Roquefort or cheeses with a very strong taste.
