Domaine de Villemajou rosé 2019
- Located in the Corbières, the Domaine de Villemajou holds a special place for Gérard Bertrand.
- This family property was bought in 1970 by his father, Georges Bertrand.
- The exceptional soil allows for deep rooting, protecting the vineyard from Mediterranean climatic excesses (hydric stress, violent storms).
- The estate is cultivated in organic (AB) and biodynamic agriculture, Demeter certified, since the 2019 vintage.
Deep and shiny
Intense and subtle, the nose is dominated by red fruit aromas accompanied by delicate floral notes.
This rosé pleasantly surprises by its balanced opulence and aromatic freshness.
Custody and service advice
Serve at 10-12°C - Enjoy with spicy dishes (chicken curry), poultry and fruity cheeses.
The grapes are harvested at night or early in the morning and then sorted by hand. They are delicately pressed on arrival at the winery. The temperature, at the beginning of fermentation, is self-regulated around 18-20 degrees. The rosé is put into barrels at the halfway point of fermentation for a maturing period of about 6 months. A stirring of the lees is carried out regularly to bring smoothness and structure to the wine.
